Salt farm experience
How is salt made? Salt is the starting point for cooking food around the world.
In this tour, you will learn the steps involved in making salt, and try to produce salt by yourself. As salt planting tools are prepared, you can experience salt planting themselves.
It is an eco-tourism program, through which you can enjoy the view of salt farm and the surrounding natural environment, and explore the surrounding area. Learn about the natural environment and lifestyle of this area, as well as the region’s unique bay salt and grapes.
There are 4 experiences, ducation about the salt field, salt production experience, making colorful salt pillars, and making soap with bay salt.
* Bay salt soap making (optional) 4,000won
Unlike the chemicals in general cosmetics, the various minerals included in bay salt do not clog the pores of the skin but penetrate deep into the skin to remove waste. In addition, as Bay salt soap has disinfection and self-purification functions, it is helpful for the treatment of allergies, atopy, and various inflammatory conditions. You can bring the bay salt soap you have made home as a souvenir.
Shell gathering at mud flat
The mud flat in western sea of South Korea is one of the 5 largest mud flats in the world. The gap between in/out of tide is huge, which makes Daebu's mud flat much more fertile than others. Especially after the tide's out, hidden black mud flat comes out, which is the most beautiful part of Daebudo. You can find various marine creatures in the wetlands while the tide is out. If you'd like to experience this mud flat as it is, do not hesitate to choose mud flat activities. You can easily find people who are trying to catch various marine creatures such as shellfish, razor clams, small octopuses and small crabs on the mud flat. This activity is especially famous regionally for families because parents want to give a precious memory to their children. The mud flat activity is generally open from spring to fall.
